Itinerary

On arrival transfer to hotel, Latter Proceed for dinner and city tour of Paris.
During this tour you will learn about the history of Paris and admire the major attractions of the Capital City: Champs-Elysees, The Arc de Triomphe, Trocadero, Opera Garnier, Invalides, Concorde Square, Notre- Dame Cathedral, Vendome Square, Montmartre (Sacred Heart, Place du Tertre), Louvre, Madeleine Church... Later, visit the 3rd level of the Eiffel Tower – Once the tallest structure in the world, the Eiffel Tower is probably Europe's test known landmark and Paris's most famous symbol. The tower rises 300 meters tall (984 ft). Dinner at restaurant. Later check in to the hotel and over night at hotel in Paris. (B/L/ D)

After breakfast, proceed to Zurich. En route, you will drive through Schaffhausen, the capital of the canton with its famous Munot Fortress, dating from the 16th century, Later proceed to Black forest- The Black Forest is a wooded mountain range in Baden-Württemberg, southwestern Germany. It is bordered by the Rhine valley to the west and south. The highest peak is the Feldberg with an elevation of 1,493 metres (4,898 ft). The region is almost rectangular with a length of 200 km (120 mi) and breadth of 60 km (37 mi). Hence it has an area of approximately 12,000 km (4,600 sq mi). The name Schwarzwald, i.e. Black Forest, goes back to the Romans who referred to the thickly forested mountains there as Silva Nigra, i.e. "Black Forest," because the dense growth of conifers in the forest blocked out most of the light inside the forest. Experience the world of Cuckoo Clocks during an interesting demonstration in Drubba. Afternoon, drive to the The Rhine falls. The Rhine Falls is only 23 metres high but has an impressive width of 150 metres and an average of 25'000 cubic feet of water per second (700m3/sec). You are dropped off on the north bank of the river Rhine where you can admire the turreted castle called Schloss Laufen on a cliff directly above the falls. Schaffhausen to view one of Europe's natural wonders – The spectacular Rhine Falls. Tonight, enjoy an Indian dinner. Overnight at hotel Swissotel /Renaissance / Marriott or similar, in Zurich.

After breakfast, proceed for Mount Titlis - Mount Titlis, an excursion that will surely leave you spellbound. Enjoy stunning views from the world’s first revolving cable car - Rotair on your way up to Mt. Titlis. As you ascend to 3020 mts. a breathtaking panorama unfolds. Visit the Ice Grotto and indulge yourself in the world of snow, on the snow terrace. Indian Lunch and later proceed for an Orientation Tour of Lucerne, covering, Visit the Medieval Burgundian town - known the world over for its wine production, Kapellbruecke (Chapel Bridge), view of Spreuerbrucke (Spryer Bridge), and view of Lion Monument (Loewendenkmal). After a buffet breakfast, proceed to Italy by our bus. We reach there by noon.

See the St. Mark's Basilica, Bridge of Sighs, the Doges Palace, the Campanile and many more sights. Experience the romance of this magical city on a Gondola ride –included on your tour. Tonight, enjoy an Indian dinner. Overnight at hotel Cosmopolitan / NH / Novotel.

After a buffet breakfast, check out and drive through the beautiful Tuscany region, to Florence. On arrival, enjoy an Indian / local lunch and later join your experienced English speaking local guide for a city tour. Visit the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore - The Duomo. See the "Gates of Paradise" - The east doors of the Baptistery, the Campanile, marvel at the open air sculpture museum in Piazza Della Signoria, the Santa Croce where Michelangelo and Galileo are buried. Also see the Ponte Vecchio - a medieval bridge over the River Arno, noted for having exquisite jewellery shops. Get a bird's eye view of Florence from Piazzale Michelangelo where you can also see the statue of David, one of Michelangelo's masterpieces. Next, drive to the city of Pisa. Hold your breath as you enter the "Square ofMiracles" and see the precariously Leaning Tower of Pisa. Tonight, enjoy an Indian dinner. Overnight at hotel Datini / West Florence / MY Galilei / Holiday Inn or similar, in Florence / Prato / Pisa.

After a buffet breakfast, experience the magic of Rome on your extensive guided tour. Start your tour by visiting the Holy See - The Vatican (Shorts / Mini Skirts or Sleeveless vests not allowed). Marvel at the masterpieces of the Vatican Museum as your expert local English speaking guide leads you through. Visit the Pope's personal chapel - The Sistine Chapel. Get artistically inspired by its decoration, frescoed throughout by great artists including Michelangelo. Later, visit the holy church of St. Peter's and be amazed by its artistic and architectural grandeur. After an Indian lunch, visit the world of the gladiators as you go inside the Colosseum. FAQs

How fit do I need to be to do this trek?

Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will too, you can.

How long do we walk every day when doing Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.

What is the highest altitude reached in this trek?

The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.

What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?

Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay a certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, a hot water facility could be free at a lower elevation.

Are there ATMs on the way to Annapurna Base Camp?

No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.

What about internet access?

Yes. The Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. The Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.

Is it necessary to hire Guides/trekking agency for Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during the offseason.

It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.

How much do guides and porters cost?

For the Annapurna region, pay for guides range from $20 to $30 per day and porters take $15 to $25 per day.
